A FRENCH MODEL 1874 SWORD BAYONET FOR THE M1874 GRAS RIFLE, dated 1976, with 20 1/2 in. single-edged polished steel blade, back engraved for St. Etienne arsenal, ricasso with inspection marks, cross-guard with quillion stamped with '20744' and inspection marks, wooden grips, brass hilt, together with its steel scabbard, blade with some staining towards the point, inscription and inspection marks crisp, scabbard badly pitted, the tip of which is missing, 25 1/4 in. overall
